There is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with our recruiting policy

Jun 7, 2012, 6:57 AM

You either want to be a Tiger or not.

Asking a kid that commits to us early in recruiting of his own freewill to stay committed and not take visits or take "serious" visits is no issue with me!!

Matter of fact it should cut down on the recruiting "game" where these kids string along a school just to make that dramatic switch on signing day!!

I applaud our recruting tactics and for the last 2 or 3 years we have raked in GREAT Classes becaue of it!

Keep at it Dabo and Assistants.

I am not sure I agree.......

Not trying to start something, but in the same breath the "my way or the hiway" seems too extreme for recruiting.

We aren't Alabama yet. We are definitely moving up, but I find it hard to believe you won't bend if it is a 5 star top recruit vs a 3 start.......

Dabo's a great recruiter and I trust what he is doing. This year is not expected to be a big year due to the size of the roster, but recruiting is a tough business and we need the best kids available running down the hill

The idea is not "my way or the Highway" at all. It is more like respect me and Clemson and I will continue to respect you. If you do something for me to lose respect for you, I don't want you on my team. Dabo doesn't ask them not to take visits simply to be committed to Clemson and honest with this staff.

Its pretty simple.......

Don't COMMIT if you want to explore other options!

I think we have a winner here. Dabo and company won't press youto commit. They say o take all your visits AND WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED DOING THAT STUFF feel free to commit. If you want to continue to take visits, don't commit, have fun and we will be here when you finish......if someone else hasn't committed yet. Very simple. Teaching them what the word means. THEY DON'T NEED TO COMMIT if they are not ready. That's the real message. Take your time.

Meanwhile, accepting a visit from someone else's commit is fine as well. It's not our fault if a UNC doesn't have the conversation educating their commits. They leave themselves vulnerable. No double standard at all.

cookie jar. I'm sure he enjoys taking all these visits and feeling like a bigshot while acting like an agent for these kids. The only person he is looking out for is himself. I truly hope he gets what he deserves.

What I would love to see is the McDonald kid reach out to Dabo and apologize and then distance himself from the leach Drummond.
