There is a reason DJ’s stats are near the bottom

Nov 13, 2021, 6:11 PM

in the whole frigging country. He had a chance to run up the passing yards, TD passes, completion percentage, etc today against probably the worse defense/team in the nation and could not do it. That is why he ranks near the bottom!

His dad tweets that it is the offensive line’s fault for DJ not being able to set his feet for solid throws. He said it, not me (source: twitter).

I would agree on some passes

But I’ve seen him set his feet and throw a ball meant for a 9’7” receiver with a 42” vertical

That's just it then

people blaming DJ when we don't recruit tall enough WRs!!

Bunch of times. WRs are surprised when they are hit in the hands

Hence the dropsies

DJ’s completion % is low because he can’t throw catchable balls. They are either thrown for Atom Ant or Lew Alcindor (Kareem Abdul Jabbar.)

Class of ‘71. Went through “rat season” and glad I did.

But he’s Peyton Manning in practice, per Dabo.

Peyton then or Peyton now?***

I'd settle for either Peyton on the field.

He’s pathetic, only plays good when he wants to. For 90% of the day he was terrible.

No one wants him to succeed more than I. However at some point , you have to move on. He’s terribly ,and I mean terribly inaccurate . The O-line is bad, but no O-line is going to help his issues. Got no problem his family taking up for him, however Dabo and Co. need to be able to see past that.

There sure is. It’s because he sucks.***

Our OL does suck but DJ appears to process information far too quickly to get the ball out in a timely fashion. He locks on to one guy and follows him through his entire route. If he's open then he sails the ball over the WRs head. If he isn't open its either a sack or throw out of bounds because he can't figure out what to do (look for other options) until its too late. Not sure you can coach a guy to improve in that area when we've seen no improvement at all this season from him.
