Bryant's passing problems

Nov 12, 2017, 7:11 AM

Down the field between the hashes he is money, but his passes to the boundaries are horrible. The center was floating snaps to him with no force at times giving the FSU defenders a good jump

the Snaps are a problem

Not having a go get it type(Sammy,Nuk,MW7)WR to help him out a little also hurts.

Just an opinion, I think losing the weight during the offseason hurt Cain and maybe the ANKLE is not quite as healed as we've been told publicly

9-1 ,headed to a 7th 10th win season ,it's pretty good time to be a TIGER.

Agreed on the ankle issue. To my dismay, I uttered my first F-bomb at a Clemson football game in YEARS when Cain dropped that pass in the fourth quarter.

Receivers matter

Nov 12, 2017, 8:20 AM [ in reply to the Snaps are a problem ]

We don't have a Mike Williams/DeAndre Hopkins guy who can go up and get the football. Cain is talented, but he hasn't been that kind of receiver. Hunter Johnson can't fix that.

Bryant's mobility does open up the run game. Why do you think our backs have had so much room to run when they get the ball? On the ETN run, FSU's linebackers are frozen for a split second while they try to figure out who has the football. That was all the time that was needed to give ETN a nice hole.

I thought that our center had his hands full last night with NNadi. It seemed like that NG was making every tackle for FSU. I'll take the win, enjoy the cool weather, hope that our players heal, and will be ready at NOON on Saturday.

The fumbles are FSU's season in a nutshell.

Nov 12, 2017, 8:29 AM

Both goal line fumbles were forced by an FSU player making an athletic play to hit the QB at the exchange, before the ball could be secured. FSU has 5* talent and that's what 5* talent does.

After the first fumble, FSU's offense goes 3 and out, narrowly avoiding a defensive TD and a safety. We flip the field and score on the next drive.

The second fumble, FSU's defense forgets the fundamentals of football with three guys trying to pick up the football while KB dives in underneath them.

The third fumble was a well placed hit on the football to force it loose. It was followed by an interception on the next play.

Best receivers in the world would still need a ladder to catch a lot of those balls. Drops happen. Bryant needs to step through onhis throws.

I think a lot of those passes are high because KB does not have the confidence that his receivers will take the ball if the d gets a hand on it. We have a great team this year. Last year was a special year, with a special QB that we may never have the likes of again. Its all good, just relax and enjoy the wonderful ride.

If KB doesn't have confidence in the receivers

Nov 12, 2017, 8:45 AM

he should not be the QB. There is more talent at WR on this team than some teams have ever had. And, the "trust" issue works both ways...our WR's probably don't try to leap 20 feet into the air after his passes because they are protecting their career since the ball is nowhere near even catchable.

A better QB would manage the game like it should be and forget the silly notion that he is the only one who can run the ball.
