Anyone else noticed the number of “sky is falling,” “more staff leaving,” and “Dabo to the Raiders” posts coming from either new handles or handles that have existed a long time with very few posts during that time. The pulse says it all. May be time to take out the trash again or think about requiring a paid membership in order to post.

someguyfromnc I don’t think anyone on the board, including the ride or die fans, are opposed to individuals expressing an analytical criticism of the football team or other sport team through their own lens. In fact, the differences in opinions is what makes this board what it is.
What makes it toxic are the vocal minority that come on her spraying venom about everything Clemson. When you look at their post history, there is a commonality. Most everything they post has a negative connotation. They continually link to anti-Clemson articles. They are on T-Net during the games, criticizing every single play that occurs that doesn’t result in a 20 yard gain or a touchdown for the offense.
The writing is clear for most. No one is expecting this to be a board full of sunshine pumpers and everything is roses people. Just put a little more thought into the analysis that will create some good conversation. The negative ones know what they are doing. Their posts not only are done with intent, but they also say a lot about their personal lives as well.

I like the latitude given veterans , but I do agree that the amount of trolls have risen greatly. There use to be a few knuckleHeads and know it all’s , but now we get troll posts . The football team is cleaning house. Perhaps Tnet should do the same.

You should never have to pay I don’t pay for reasons of my own. I am probably older and a longer time tiger fan than 90% of the fans here. Pay only destroys the reason of this board. We could be like FGF and any negative posts gets you banned. We are better than that.

Agree 100%. We have had an incredible 10 year run...what team, other than the Saban era at Bama can come close....HS, college or pro. Life is cycles and phases and we are entering a new one. If you are a Tiger fan you focus on the opportunity to move onward and upward, not the negative. If you are Chicken Little, go cheer for some overrated teams that the press loves, like ND and Ohio State.

I suppose this was created in response to my raiders question. Even though I don’t have a lot of points, should that really diminish my fandom?
In any case, agree that we’ve had an amazing run and I believe we have great years ahead. Am very excited in what Klubnik can bring along with improving running game and stout returning D. Outlook is still very strong, but will remain a fan even if we go 3-9.

Cutiger28 No, not directed specifically at you. The individuals I’m talking about have infiltrated this board for the past few weeks, They exploit the opportunity every chance they get to try to put a chink in the Clemson armour. They post anything and everything that remotely diminishes Clemson and they intent-fully try to stir up controversy. They know who they are and they are not Clemson fans or alumni. They try to create the illusion to others and recruits that everything Clemson is in shambles.
The positive is that the ones that they are trying to influence (the recruits) actually have something they don’t. . .that is, direct access to the coaching staff. Everybody wants what Clemson has and the jealousy is real. They know it is a far cry for them to reach, so they cross lines to make themselves feel better in their agony.
For those of us that have been around since the beginning of this site, it quite honestly gets old.

Completely agree with that. I’ve never even considered getting on a game #### site. Crazy to believe that non Clemson fans want to waste their time here. Love this board as I no longer live in SC and like to hear about what’s going on.
Agree that we have something special going on at Clemson. Btw, Soccer team in championship game today. Let’s go!

I was always told if you talk smack, you can expect it to you sooner or later. Clemson fans have dished out a lot of smack talk over the past several years. It's just something you're going to have to put up with for awhile.
