The short list for DRAD

Mar 20, 2021, 11:35 AM

Since this list is a staple and annually the next step of post-season Clemson hoops, let's run through some top 2021-22 up and coming coach options in no specific order:

- Wes Miller, UNCG
- Bob Richey, Furman
- Jordan Mincy, Florida asst
- Jon Scheyer, Duke asst
- Lake Murray, Louisville asst
- Others?

Looks like 39-year old Mike Boynton, formerly of Furman, Coastal Carolina, Wofford, and SF Austin is hitting the big time with Cunningham and OK State this year. Who is available for next year?

How long has scheyer been alongside coach k? My 2 cents would be to get an assistant that's been and learned under a good coach. And how good is said coach at recruiting. Kinda like Dabo has done mostly with Bama ties.

I’d be fine with giving Pat Kelsey a shot.

It may work, or it may not. But there’s something to be said for taking a chance. It’s not like we have a whole lot to lose.

Nobody is going anywhere after a COVID year.

I meant that I don't see it happening at Clemson.

Yep. And its basketball. Most Clemson fans dont care. They could've canned all basketball and kept track! It is for that reason that Brownell can stay as long as he wants to. Going nowhere!!
