you have proven that you will believe just about anything, as long as it is outlandish and irrational and without any actual scientific proof.

you've proven that you believe anything on TV.

I don't know the long term effects of the vaccine. Nobody does. Pfizer has reported that in short term trials, people shed the particles that their cells produce, yet they deny any adverse effects from that. So while my comment was indeed meant to trigger you, I honestly don't know one way or the other and it will be interesting if we ever find out the truth.

Exactly right, we don’t know the long term effects. The vaccine may be perfectly fine, might have some issues. I’m standing at the very “back of the line” for mine. I’ll take the vaccine if and when I choose and on my time table.

Again, I am not calling you stupid for your misgivings. I too was not crazy about putting something that had been fast-tracked into my own arm.

But I can also tell you long-haul COVID is absolutely no joke, and you do NOT want it. Nor do not listen to idiots (who shall remain nameless) who tell you that it's only people with weak immune systems who get long COVID. Ask Justin Foster, or Xavier Thomas, who are both freaking tanklike human beings...and who both suffered long COVID. (I'm bigger than either guy myself, by the way, though I am 46, and I do have recently-diagnosed type-2 diabetes.) But I used to rarely if ever get sick.

The dangers with a vaccine get more and more theoretical with each passing day, though, and every week that passes, you're watching the guinea-pig population crash-test the possible dangers of the vaccine for you. And we're just not seeing any side effects popping up with the vax yet. Whereas we're seeing more and more with each passing day just how nasty and non-theoretical the dangers of COVID really are.

My real concern is a much more dangerous winter-time variant. What history tells us is the second waves of plagues tend to be the worst; people are numb to them, they don't adapt their behavior the second time around, and by the time they realize hey, it's back and it's really bad it's too late. Round 1 looks like it's going to take out 600,000+...I'm really worried Round 2 could be a whole lot worse, because we won't be wearing masks and America will be wide open, and the variant we get will likely be a nasty one.

I would not want to be unvaccinated come this fall or winter. Just my own .02 worth.

I understand and I respect your thoughts. I’m just not taking it. I don’t say never but I am saying not now. My wife and I both had covid back in December.

The Governor literally made it legal for someone to plow their car through a crowd of people and never be charged with a crime, do you understand how much ANXIETY that causes me every time I step off the curb?
