What were you most proud of tonight?

Sep 2, 2012, 1:17 AM

I was most impressed with our play on defense when we we had coverage downfield and the quarterback was looking for options. Our ends got proper containment and waited until they had support from the gap the quarterback was in. Then, they closed symmetrically. Most of the time, they were getting TFLs for that. We didn't do that last year.

Also, honorable mention for our 3rd-and-* play. I never really felt hopeless no matter what they were at. Just felt like they earned the confidence that they would convert.

Bravo, Andre.

Well done folks. Very well prepared/disciplined team tonight.

I have to say our OL answered many questions tonight. They were exceptional at pass protection and run blocking. Also, even though our secondary blew several coverages, they stepped up and held it off in the end!

The ground game

If you can run the ball you can break the will of the other team. David Beasley had a heck of a game. Glad to see him step up and play like a beast. If the line can stay healty, this offense can be dangerous.

The fact that I could trust our OL to get us a 3rd and short

Never felt that way last year, ever. Tonight I was actually shouting to go for it on 4th and goal.

I am proud that, for once, Clemson showed up and took care of business in a big game they were expected to win. We hadn't accomplished that in quite a while until tonight.

my ability to make it to the bathroom, the snack area and the bar during time-outs! Yes, I was fast as a speeding turtle! lol

I think I like Tajh's play tonight the best. He ran well consistently when he needed to, made great passes, and stuck it out despite Auburn's defenders aiming for his helmet every chance they got.

Although the O-line had a lot to do with that.

the run blocking and 3rd and short conversion

after conversion and conversion! Well done to the players and coach Caldwell!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It would be a lot easier to list what I wasn't so proud of.

Sep 2, 2012, 8:22 AM

Consider that this is the first start and first live action they've had so I'm not dumping on anybody. I fully expect our WR and TE to catch the football.

That being said, my typewriter ribbon doesn't have enough ink to list the things I'm proud of this morning. BTW, it's a new ribbon. :)

It won't be the popular answer with some, but it is a great one.
