The reason I pull for ACC teams in the NCAA tourney

is because each win puts money directly into Clemson's pockets. That is until the Final Four. So even though i hate DUKE and UNC and don't want them to win championships. I pull for them to get to the final four (because I'm really pulling for Clemson) and then lose (because Clemson has already won at that point).
For every game an ACC team participates in this year up until the final four. Clemson gets $16,146. (242200 divided 15 ways)
So far with the ACC teams and ND Clemson money will look like this.
NCState x1 UNC x2 Duke x3 Miami x3 ND x1
So ten units so far and Clemson will receive at least $161,500.
add UL, Cuse, and, Pitt to the mix and project it out even though its unlikely any units they have will be transferred.
then you have Pitt x 1 Cuse x3 UL x3
7 units so far is $113,000 for Clemson
9 units won by the current 12 team ACC and 8 units won by the 4 teams coming in the league.
$274,500 dollars total SO FAR going to each team in the ACC. In an incredibly down year for the ACC.
In a New ACC 9 to 10 teams should make the Tournament every year if teams will live up to their historic potential.
lets say 3 go out in the first round. $48,438 3 go out in the second round $96,876 1 goes out in the third round $48,438 1 goes out in round four $64,538 2 make it to the final Four $161,460
That's 419,750 given to each school in any given year (actually divided over six years) or to put it another way 6.3 million dollar yearly revenue stream added to the conference just from the NCAA Tournament. No its not football money but its not chump change either
Add to that the ACC Basketball Tournament that sells out every year now in NY, KY, and Indiana TV markets. ACC basketball is not going to compete with SEC Football but it brings in enough Money to somewhat even out the TV contract disparity.

Ok, I can buy that logic. I don't have to pull for them in the regular season, or should I so that they make the tournament?

Well you don't have to do anything, i was just telling you why i do. But the simple fact is we live in a world where conference makes money for you. so the better they do the more money we make.
obviously you have to balance that with the fact that the better they are the less wins we are likely to have.

Beyond them, let every man do what is right in his own eye...

They are somehow a better fan or person than someone else based on what teams they want to win or lose at any given time, needs to get over themselves. It's just sports.

I think maybe you misread my post. Or maybe you are ticked at the world in general and just happened to spew here.

With their stupid "rules" saying how you can't be a Clemson fan and cheer for this team, or that team. You can be a fan of whomever you want to for whatever reason you want, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Yes our football program makes money for the whole conference so they should be desirous to see us win (from a money standpoint) so long as they are going to be the one making the money for everyone.

Clemson to make a free throw one day. Maybe even a jump shot if we have a hot day.

time to put that together. As a result I shall continue to root for all ACC teams except the following:
UNC Duke NCSU Wake GT FSU Miami BC UVA VT Maryland
This year I also added the following teams to pull against, and so far it has worked out well for me, although I still have 2 more teams I would like to see lose soon:
Pitt ND Cuse Louisville
However, after your post I shall continue to pull for all ACC teams not appearing on that list.

I totally agree. Not sure why you would not pull for the Acc in any post season tourney if clemson was not in it. A championship in any sport for the acc is way better than seeing another conference claim that title.
