The reason for the low dollar Nike contract comparative

to other schools is because of our uniform consistency. Nike gives the other schools more money (sans Bama and a few other traditional powerhouses) who allow them to design these new style untraditional uniforms. These new uniforms give Nike that much more in merchandise revenue therefore it is worth the contracts given to these schools. The only way we get more money from Nike is to give them access to our designs or win a string of national championships.

Baseball has very little to do with our deal with Nike.
College Baseball is a waaaaaaaaaay waaaaaaay distant 4th when it comes to contracts for apparel and TV.

Umm that doesnt have #### to do with being a "big time player"
Those teams have Nike because Nike paid them more than other people would pay them for their Football and Basketball programs.
Baseball figures into very very little when it comes to how much money a team gets from either TV/radio/apparel.
That is a fact.

Nike pays very little for rights to baseball.
No one for the most part throughout the country cares about college baseball.
The apparel rights for that sport are worth very little. Just like College Soccer, Rowing, Swimming and Diving, Track, etc...
Your Football and Basketball teams determine how much you get from TV/Radio/Apparel deals. The other sports have VERY VERY VERY little to do with it.

Things Nike has in each sport
Baseball- baseballs, baseball gloves, batting gloves, Bats, Batting helmets , Hats, baseball socks , bat bags , catchers gear , sun glasses ,jerseys , cleats , cold weather gear
Football- Jerseys , shoes , gloves , visor , footballs, socks, chin straps , cold weather gear

Other schools have larger contracts due to Nike outfitting the entire athletic dept. Every sport.
And it's not limited to Nike, an Adidas or UA contract would be in the same boat.
