The Weather Channel and Friends may have screwed the pooch

Sep 9, 2017, 11:34 PM

In the last 24 hours Hurricane Irma has went from the strongest hurricane in U.S history, to a cat.3, now to high winds and heavy rain.....

Doesn't bother me, I'm laying on my couch watching highlights of the Tigers win, but for some of those who spent thousands in food, fuel, and lodge they may be like W.T.F.....

They'd probably be happy to come home to their home

Sep 9, 2017, 11:46 PM [ in reply to Re: And that's a problem why?*** ]

I also have family just north of Houston in Springs, Tx

who were lucky enough to miss the devastation of Harvey. So while I am also watching the Tigers win tonight I'm also hoping to see Irma vanish like a fart in the wind so no one else has to suffer that kind of tragedy

The problem will be with the next storm

Not severely effected

Sep 10, 2017, 12:41 AM [ in reply to And that's a problem why?*** ]

If you consider Tornados, flooding, power out, 75 mph winds, not severe. This storm is huge . So the East will be in bad shape when it is through. Better to be safe than sorry too

I think Cuba took a little more out of her than they thought.

It is weather though very hard to predict.

Supposed to go from a cat 3 to a cat 4 before making landfall. According to the NOAA 22 minutes ago. Just sitting off the Cuba coast right now gaining strength

You do realize it's still supposed to increase back to a CAT 4, and that a CAT 3 hurricane is still very very bad right?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The people on western Florida got screwed

Sep 10, 2017, 12:33 AM

They evacuated the eastern side and those people had time to gather supplies, board up their homes and get out. Now that it's moving to the western coast those people are last minute having to prepare and try to get out and I'm sure all the hotels are packed with people from the eastern side that now are not going to be severely effected.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

you're a cold hearted person, that hurricane is gonna drop..

Sep 10, 2017, 2:04 AM

a ton of water and do a ton of damage. Nice job in showing compassion.
