the onside kick was legal

Jan 12, 2016, 1:42 AM

Rule 3.a provides for five things that make an onsides kick legal. Only one of them is the ball hitting the ground. One is "it break the plane of and remains beyond [the 45 yard line]." Rule 3.a.2.

Sorry but you and Felix do not know how to read the rule.

The kick was 100% legal as has been state don every refereeing board on the net.
And the CFB head of officials said it was legal.

Referencing what? Of course they said it was. Do you think they would admit an error in a national title game? No chance.

Was Wofford playing in the game, no. So go to the Wofford board or pick a better team to pull for

If the kick is legal then why did Clemson get a penalty for the same exact thing in 2014 against the South Carolina Gamecocks?

Our country won't go on forever, if we stay soft as we are now. There won't be any America because some foreign soldiery will invade us and take our women and breed a hardier race.

In Rule 3, it's not that any one of 1., 2., or 3. must be true. Rather it's 1. and either 2. or 3. must be true in order for the kick-off team to touch the ball legally.

1 & 2 must be met or 1 & 3 must be met.
