The Oklahoma butt is still sore

Dec 4, 2020, 9:59 AM

I just moved to Montana and had a doctor's appointment where the Dr. noticed my Clemson watch. He mentioned it and asked if I thought we'd beat ND in the conf. championship. I replied "It won't be close." My wife asked where he was from and he replied he was an Oklahoma grad. My wife said "Oh we've beat them too." He remarked that he knew, but we did it with "their" defensive coordinator. The pain is still there over 6 years later. I just smiled and didn't mention the hiring of the Stoops brother that didn't work out.

Any other Tnetters in the Kalispell area?

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

The lack of personal accountability (on Oklahoma’s part) cracks me up. They had Coach Venables there, they chose family over merit and they paid the price for it. ALL of the blame for Coach Venables leaving Oklahoma, belongs to Oklahoma.....but I’ve never heard anyone at Oklahoma acknowledge that. No accountability.

Do you think the sky is bigger out there?

Depends on the day and where you are. During the late fall and winter Kalispell tends to be cloudy a lot. During the summer it is very BIG.

decision that comes back to bite them in the "but" (pun intended).

Actually sounds like your wife was the trash talker in this instance to me.

She does the trash talking for us as people don't expect her to know about it. They often get this surprised expression when she gets them.

Kalispell.

That is a great place to live - in July and August. (Winter lasts from the middle of September thru the end of June.)

Glacier National Park is one of my favorites. Spent a little over a week in the park two summers ago. If you are into hiking, you would be hard pressed to find a better place to go.

Thanks for the input. We are still unpacking and finding things so haven't had a chance to go there.

My favorite hikes were Highline Trail and Grinnell Glacier. Piegan Pass was a very close 3rd.

Here are a couple I uploaded to youtube.

Hidden Lake: Fairly short, fairly level.

Piegan Pass: 9 miles total, 4.5 out, 4.5 back. Great hike.

Sorry, but I didn't upload videos of Highline or Grinnell or any other hikes I took.

Thanks for the videos. That mountain goat was 3 times as big as the ones I've seen on Pikes Peak.

Any number of life’s decisions make up the current outcome. Venables May have never excelled there under that system. We will never know now unless he returns as the HC one day!
