The Odds are in our favor ...

Dec 24, 2018, 11:27 PM

I keep reading some chicken little concerns of some Tnetters that the odds are not in our favor - the fact is the odds are in our favor. Clemson started out as a 10.5 point favorite over ND. That spread is now 13 points.

As for Dex's absence, he is a he11uva player, and he'll be missed. And we will all pull for him in a few months with his new NFL team. But Dex's absence will not significantly impact this team or the odds over these next two games. CW42, CF99, and AB7 will pick it up and play some more reps, and Huggy and Nyles are next men up. Dex has missed a lot of P.T. the last two years due to injury.

We don't know and likely never will if this unique drug Ostarine, which significantly improves muscle mass and physical performance, was taken by accident, but we know it's hard to get and expensive. It's time for Dabo and team to send the suspended players home and get ready to play the Irish.

Dabo will do what he does which is lead, and he and the team will put this distraction in the rear view mirror where it needs to be. And the odds remain very much in our favor. Go Tigers!

Well,

You threw Dex overboard pretty quickly, didn't ya?

I'm going to take a different position, and side with Dex.

Merry Christmas.

Not a matter of siding with him or against him

Dec 24, 2018, 11:38 PM

Dex will be fine and make more cash next year than most of us will earn in 10 years. This is about the Tigers and the team who did not test positive for a powerful high tech supplement. The coaches and team can spend the next few days getting ready for a good Notre Dame team, or lament Dex's absence and go down in a funk. My take is Dabo will not let that happen and good on him.

Y’all need google. First Ostarine isn’t difficult to buy nor is it expensive. That’s why it’s turning up at alarming rate. I do agree Huggy will be ready but man let this play out and wait on the Bsample. That is all we need to know, either they are back or they screwed up (accidental or not) and we do battle with who is available

For the type of Ostarine that those guys tested positive within their system was the MK-2866. On the SARMS site, it is $149 bucks for a 1 months supply.

Hey, I'm sure you and I are wanting the same thing--the best for the Tigers.

But my interpretation of this is that Dex is a GREAT and GOOD Tiger who has done nothing wrong, and who is hurting right now. I don't know him personally, but have seen him around over the years (Tiger Walks, Sidelines during games), and he strikes me as a gentle introvert. I hate that this BS has come his way. He did nothing wrong, and doesn't deserve this. I'm really pissed off on his behalf.

But yes, the Tigers will need to find a way to get past it and win the Natty anyway.

Yes, I'm a big fan of Dex whether or not he took a supplement, whether or not he took it knowingly to heal or unknowingly, and I will continue to be a fan. That said, I am not going to post "he did nothing wrong … and I'm really pissed off".

I do not get pissed about things I have no control over which does nothing to help the accused party or me. It's wasted emotion. No player on any team ever took an illegal supplement knowingly, right? Including Lance Armstrong.

Dex has missed a lot of games due to injuries, and the Tigers have done fine. Bummed for him. NCAA case will play out in next two days. But I am all in on practicing the talented Tiger players who will be playing against ND. And I am all in on the Tiger defenders focusing of the ND Offense and not Big Dex. And yes, we both want best for Tigers.

If he did take something to help heal his body, that is his choice, not ours, and I wish him the very best in where ever his life journey takes him. I had 4 major back surgeries with the hopes that it would help and make back better, but it didn't. If there would have been a pill, illegal or not, that would have helped my condition before the 1st surgery, I would have given it a try, but I didn't know of any such drug. But if there had been, it couldn't have been as bad as the recovery with all the therapy I had to go through 4 different times. So I can't, and I don't fault anyone for doing what they feel is best for them regardless of the opinions who ever, may have bc, we're not the ones suffering through what ever it is they're suffering through regardless of how big or how small, it is their choice.

"IF", any of those kids took anything, my thoughts are they didn't take it while thinking about their consequences if they were caught. One of the hardest things to learn when you're their age, is thinking ahead of the what if's if someone finds out that I did this or that. They believe that once they have swallowed something, the evidence is gone, and if nobody knows they took it, they won't be tested for it. It is things like this happening being the best learning lesson they could ever get anywhere. As a kid, they don't always learn from someone else's mistake bc the trap didn't close on their hand, and they can't feel it until it does. Growing up right before becoming adults, those are the hardest times of growing up bc, that is when you have to start paying bigger prices for screwing up. If a second test proves them to be guilty, I still believe that they will finish growing up and being really good responsible people through out their life. It's just that life lessons can be a biotch when you get caught doing some not so bad of things. Those types of lessons will last a life time!!!

Clemson still wins no doubt .

I'm just concerned we wont be able to rest our starters until the 3rd quarter.

They will rotate as always. Likely Huggie moves to Dex’s spot and Jordan takes Huggie’s spot on the second unit and nothing else changes.

The big difference will be that the double team that Dex usually gets will likely shift to Christian. I hope Huggie comes to play.

Odds are not in our favor for them to be cleared. You can’t apply odds to Blackjack from Craps. Apples and Oranges. Apples and Oranges.

Not really. Before reporting positive, i’m Sure it was rerun at the same lab to verify the initial positive result. Now the second sample will likely be sent to an independent lab and re-run.

Likely these guys are out.

This is the dumbest thing I’ve read on this so far.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He's innocent until proven guilty

Dec 25, 2018, 12:12 PM

Not the other way around. Let's wait for the final results before we move on without him.

If that time comes, though, Huggy and Nyles will do us proud! Go Tigers! Whip those Irish!
