I Can't Wait to See The Sure to Happen ESPIN Gameday Segment

Nouveau Rich NIL. Picture mumble rap in the background, girls in bikinis and the player arriving in a Lambo telling the interviewer how hard it is to be a poor college kid.

For kids that are high end high school 4-5 Stars who for whatever reason don't make the NFL, I suppose it's good they can monetize their talent, but I cannot imagine the complexity this adds to the locker room and the caste system this creates. Based on some of the deals highlighted out there, the value of the scholarship itself is now very much minimized.

So Elroy Bumpkins what has it been like coming to the Sooners. I love my F350 Custom dually truck and my condo. But Elroy, what about the college experience? Oh just do some internetz skool and get to go to practice and stuff. In the end, I think the NCAA cannot ever stuff this genie back in the bottle. Sad to say, but I think the IRS becomes the new law for these kids and programs.

There are 5500 football players on scholarship at the 65 Power 5 schools (including ND) and there may be 1% of them that will have enough money from NIL to buy a new car. NIL is not about kids getting rich.

me thinks your 1% is off. My guess is each school will have at least 3-5 players who get enough NIl to buy a car or given a car.

BYU is having an alumni give every walk-on NIL equivalent to a full scholarship.

That's $250k or more and would buy a really nice car...
