Why SEC failure shouldn't be a surprise

The last time before the bowl games that a SEC team beat a Power 5 opponent was week 4 when TA&M beat hapless SMU 58-6. 0-4 from then until bowls
Of the 4 ranked SEC teams to play in bowls so far, 3 have lost, 2 of them not even close.
It would only be fitting that the "elite" SEC West(Bama, LSU, Aub, Miss St, Ole Miss) teams go 0-5 in the "Setup up for the SEC Big 5 bowls"
ESPN fraudulently sold us a bad product.

With reporting over the next week on the MNC brackets, NFL playoffs and the " year end review".
The LSU, Ole Miss and Miss State losses will hardly be mentioned.

It started last nite with Levy and May stating the other conferences are just "jealous" of the sec. It is the lowest I've seen espn go. As one poster stated all espn is gonna say is none of their sec teams wanted to be in the bowl they got beat in. Sadly laughable.

That statement is not correct, as SMU is not from a Power 5 conference.
