Thank you again Tigers for your thoughts and prayers. The family is lifted by every single one, I promise. When this young superstar-to-be recovers, I will make sure Coach Penley and Byrd get a fair shake for his services 
Parks had a restful night last night & the Echo results showed slight improvement in heart function but Parks is still in critical condition and still very much needs every prayer!!
The transplant team has been involved for a few days as an introduction to the different team members. That team will convene later in the week to discuss Parks' progress. This is not to say that Parks will require a heart transplant but to be ready in case his heart does not continue to improve. It's always better to be proactive instead of reactive- if he doesn't need it, Great - if he does, they're ready! Ginny (his mom) said she really feels like it's critical to show some improvements this week- successful weaning from the vent and heart function improvements!!!

Thanks bob. It has really hit me harder than I expected. Even having a strong faith and knowing God will tell a great story no matter what happens, this has been tough. He is almost exactly my daughters age and he played 18 holes (and walked) and shot 70 - 6 hours before he was flown to MUSC on a ventilator.

I feel for this young man and hope he can recover to have a long happy life. My wife's cousin is recovering from a heart transplant. I know how hard of a road he has had but by Gods hand the transplant was a success. I will be praying for Parks and I put his name on my churches prayer list.
