Its not really fair to compare the modern rotating back to the tailback of old. Now, they rotate. Then, a single tailback. Took 95% of snaps.

Ellington also had 212 against Maryland in 2011

That was the game we were down 18 and Boyd threw 4 TD passes. We took the lead, the Maryland took it back, then we returned the kickoff for a TD and blew the doors off them after that.

I completely forgot about how monster of a game AE had that night. When I think of that game I think about how we were undefeated going in and it seemed like we were gonna lose to Maryland yet again. Ellington was overshadowed by Watkins late game heroics.
