makes me appreciate DJ the man even more. Frustrating as he was as a player, you can see why everyone associated with the team, coaches and players, loved him. Polar opposites

There were a few mechanics issues with DJ but we saw some of the potential in a few games like the WF game. His biggest issues seemed to me to be between the ears and the lack of confidence and self-belief.
I really hope the change of scenery and offensive system frees him up and he can just go out and be himself and have a great season in 2023.

He is a class act.
Saying that (and I'm old) but I've followed him/the family on social media. As I do many Clemson athletes. I also know you can't judge a book by its cover. I always wondered how much of a culture shock Clemson was to him... not so much teammates, but the community. Some of the stuff he and his buddies abd family posted is foreign to me.
I think he'll be much more comfortable back out west. Hopefully that puts happy thoughts in his head and he flourishes.

DJ is a great kid! We were lucky to have him on the team. He received his CU degree as well.
He never caused an issue I was aware of, and his teammates really loved him. I can see why Coach Swinney was so found of him.

and when it didn't, he handled it like a champ. I really appreciate the person he is, even if football didn't pan out for him here. He was a great ambassador of Clemson!

I'll never forget reading an article printed before he committed to Clemson where he was quoted as telling his parents that as soon as he stepped foot on Clemson the first time he felt surrounded by the Holy Spirit. I thought that was an extraordinary thing for him to say. He really loved Clemson and I'm proud to say he's a Clemson Gentleman!

Will always root for DJ but I really wish his family would just move on, he’s not apart of the program anymore go talk about Oregon St. Just wait and see how bad he will be next year if DJ does light it up.

On the field is very, very, very important. I never saw that from DJ. Hopefully Klubnik has it or soon develops it. The new OC will tell you the same thing. I bet we see more of r That quality in the spring game.

You can tell Cade already has it the way he’s fired up getting everyone lined up and he never checks out. I don’t have any doubts that Cade will have the offense rolling this year.

I really believe he should switch back to baseball. His arm talent is undeniable, I think the pressure of being a QB is too much for him. It's also alot more common to see a guy in baseball have an off day and get pulled, that's just part of the game doesn't have as much negative connotation as a QB getting benched. He's going to be successful in life just not sure it will be through football.

Buffer between DJ and his ego-maniacal father. It didn't work. DJ isn't his dad...he's more his mom. There's little worse than a parent living vicariously through their child.
DJ is pure quality...a genuine soul. Hopefully his Clemson experience contributed more than it took. Fan experience aside.

The good news is that he has two years available to make the most of his new start. Hopefully he gets better QB coaching and play calling to help him develop the skills that are already there but hidden from view.

Everyone should want DJ to prosper as we did with KB and others...he may fit well somewhere else and real Clemson fans will rejoice!
