I saw a lot of delusion on that board. Gamecock fans actually believe they're the "premier" university in SC? Huh...in what exactly?
They're right about one thing, their fan-base sees themselves in a particular light that nobody else does. Talk is cheap, respect is earned.
As of today, if they want to be seen as the "premier" football school in SC they need to win about 30 Conference Championships, and a few National titles, and they need to beat Clemson about 30 times in a row.
As far as academics go they need to have much more selective admissions, better professors, better facilities, and more highly ranked undergraduate and graduate programs.

The think of themselves as something more than they are. For whatever reason, they truly believe they are some nationally relevant program, possible even an elite program. Its mind boggling, yet true. They are the North Korea of college football. Talk like they are hot ####, but would get blown off the map by every real program on earth. If they would ever recognize their real role in the college football hierarchy they would be much better off, and need far fewer drugs to remain lucid.

morons butthurt ramblings when you already know exactly what they're going to say. They'll claim we cheat then argue amongst themselves why they should cheat then they will proceed to try to high road this non existent cheating by saying they're above any wrong doing despite being the program that was recently put on probation for NCAA violations. You're trying to use reasoning and common sense with unreasonable people who have no common sense. Trying to make sense of or argue with what they say would be a waste of time.

Objective truth hurts.
- Location issues Columbia SC, known mostly as a political town, not much else going for it. The BS runs deep and wide.
- Weather issues Columbia SC is known as the screen door to h3ll itself for a reason
- Low GPA standards South Carolina has been known, at least in my lifetime, as the state party school, easy to get into, easy degrees
- Mascot issues A chicken? Really? You want change, this would be a good place to start
- Fan base issues What can one say? They tend to speak for themselves. Perhaps a product of the previous issues
- Tradition issues Mediocre is just baked in the cake there. Real traditions are non-existent to all over the place. One year it's the "fire ant" defense, then "black magic", then the out-of-place "theme from 2001", the fire extinguisher entrance, then the obnoxious "Sandstorm", the moronic "crows" on third down, then the stupid towels
Is it any wonder why a blue chip player would pass on such a nominal experience? Is it any wonder a coach of even decent stature would founder and ultimately fail there?
