Do our players feel uncomfortable being led by someone named Jeff Davis?
Does he need to change his name, or be removed from his position?

Before you go calling me an idiot or a racist or whatever...

There actually is a precedent for the point I brought up.
Remember when UVA banned an espn announcer from calling one of their home games...simply because his name is Robert Lee?
(to make it even more ridiculous...this Robert Lee is an Asian man)

This insanity we are witnessing is not over. I promise.

I don't recall UVA banning him. I think it was something ESPN did. If I am wrong please show me some proof that UVA asked ESPN to do it.

After the violence in Charlottesville, which left one person dead, ESPN executives and Mr. Lee decided that for his safety it would be best to have him to work on a different game that Saturday, a network spokesman said.

“We collectively made the decision with Robert to switch games as the tragic events in Charlottesville were unfolding, simply because of the coincidence of his name,” ESPN said in a statement. “In that moment it felt right to all parties. It’s a shame that this is even a topic of conversation and we regret that who calls play-by-play for a football game has become an issue.”
