Every economist in creation says to halt the interest rate hikes ...

So what is the Fed gonna do ? Raise interest rates ...

Who is loving all these small bank failures ? The large banks that buy them.

Next victim, PacWest BanCorp ... Who will be the buyer ?

And when they did, the WH said it was "transitory." Bottom line is the high rates haven't curbed inflation enough and hasn't caused enough layoffs for the Fed to stop hikes.

with the money. If they pause or lower rates, stocks will skyrocket and inflation will roar back. They know this. The economic price has to be paid to clear the money before you open the gates back open. And frankly I wouldn't expect to see rates below 4% for years. We're likely going to have a pause and it will last years.

The days of easy money and easy debt are gone because the things we relied on to make money and debt easy are gone or greatly reduced.

That is the plan. Squeeze out all the small banks, force big banks to bow to ESG/climate hysteria (which they are already on board); in an effort to institute world e-currency.

TBTF (Too Big To Fail) is the guarantee that big banks enjoy over the regionals.

TBTF allows the big banks to purchase bonds at discount of ~ 0.25% vs. what a well run / solid balance sheet mid-major bank has to pay.

FWIW, from what I remember (no source to reference here), the regional banks service ~ 60% of the small business accounts. Small businesses are almost never given special govt assisted financial benefits (such as what Obama have to GM in his first term).

The govt is on its way to National Socializing the USA economy.
