USA Today article on Spurrier

Jul 23, 2015, 1:04 AM

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/sec/2015/07/22/steve-spurrier-south-carolina/30527665/

The thing is, he brought this on himself. The article brings up his 2-3 year comment again. Now Spurrier is lashing out at his enemies for using his own words. You can't make this up!

Wow they hit the nail on the head with that article.***

How do you keep Gamecocks out of your yard?
• Put up goal posts
What does a Gamecock grad call a Clemson Tiger grad in 2 years?

This is only the beginning. No one could have perceived his rant yesterday as a good thing. To me, it seemed like he was forced to take that approach, perhaps due to a rookie fan base that's aching for the program to stay relevant. There was a lot of appeal for recruits when SS took the helm down there in the arm pit. But without his name, there just aren't many good reasons for a recruit to choose cootlumbia.

SS should run now, while he is still on a pedestal in the world of college football.

"Some people are gonna try to convince you that our 7-6 isn't as good as some other schools' 7-6."

It's still 7-6 Stevie, with wins over Furman and South Alabama and embarrassing losses to Kentucky and Tennessee. Heck, Florida gifted one to ya or you wouldn't even have made it to the Duck Commander Independence Bowl.

This is going to be fun to watch.

Somehow we managed to save our worst game of the season until the last. Those days are over, thank God.

Spurrier needs a second Opinion - PAGING Dr. Lou!!

Dear Steve: "Clemson is just one of your Enemies! But leave the lights on, because we're coming to make you madder than you already are in November! Oh and Ask Dr. Lou, he can verify that for you..

His many years of mouthing is beginning to catch up to him. It's the beginning of the end.

The ONLY reason he's considered a "great" coach is because he says so, and has somehow convinced others in the media of it with his mouth and ego.

You'll be lucky if you win more than 4 games this year. Every other team(with the exception of vandy) showed marked improvement last year except for usuc who took a big step back.

The only 2 games on your schedule that should be surefire wins are Vandy and the Citadel.

Looks like cootlumbia will force another coaching great to retire after a crappy season.

His only enemy is his inability to keep his mouth shut.

He brought all this on himself.
