Not if he talks to Dabo or his recruiter first.

this can be easily excused. he lives in Indiana for gosh sake. Hard to blame him for wanting to visit & see some other places. :) (I've lived there too)

CUSA? We should really be concerned about that***

CUSA is of no concern. His brother is there. It's the

other visits he's talking about. If he takes other visits, Dabo will drop him from the list of Clemson commitments.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Didn't know there was a brother involved

Aug 29, 2012, 12:12 PM

so this is like Nkemdiche visiting Ole Miss.

Highly doubt that. I believe the other problem with recruits that were dropped either found a new interest or was dishonest about visits, not that they simply took the visit.

I thought this kids brother played for Georgia.

And I sure hope Dabo does not drop this kid.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Dabo's policy is once a commitment is made, that ends

visits to other schools. Visits to other schools shows a lack of commitment.

Re: Dabo's policy is once a commitment is made, that ends

Aug 29, 2012, 4:38 PM

Robert Nkemdiche is planning on visiting other schools. We are not going to drop him. There is not a Dabo policy that says if you visit another school we will drop you. It is a situation by situation bases (see Marlin Lane)

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Marlin Lane got dropped for visiting other schools, simple

Aug 29, 2012, 4:58 PM

as that. RN is only talking about possible visits. We'll see what happens if he actually does it. Dabo's policy about commitments visiting other schools is very clear. Other visits shows a lack of commitment. The only reason another visit would be tolerated would be if there is a good reason and if Dabo approved it first. Just exploring another school would not be a good reason.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No that isn't the reason Lane got dropped, he was playing

games with Clemson. He was being dishonest about it. Proof or shut up

maybe the writer of this article is a coot, and we dont have any worries, because he is making it up.

Aug 30, 2012, 2:55 AM [ in reply to Re: No that isn't the reason Lane got dropped, he was playing ]

I'm pretty sure RN already took a visit to Ole Miss claiming he was visiting his brother. While it may not have been an official visit, he still posted a pic of him with an Ole Miss jersey on...plenty to ruffle some feathers.

I agree that commitments are pretty useless when they vistit other schools other than showing you that they simply have a favorite. I would sincerely hope that is not Dabo's policy to drop recruits seeing as this happens all the time. FSU tried this with Joshua Outlaw and it certainly didn't help them. He's now looking for a new place to play and very well may wind up at a rival school such as Clemson. Would greatly benefit us if all schools adopted this policy except Clemson.

There is none this has been a rumor for a while

Probably started by a coot!

Last time this came up I tweeted Coach Scott

I had remembered hearing Dabo state the policy during a press conference but couldn't remember when or find it in print. Instead I did the next best thing and asked our recruiting coordinator. This was his response:

Guys.. As a former FB tiger... Get over this. if the kid is all in, he still can take visits. stop being so emotional.

Re: Recruit Update: Clemson DE commit to take visits

Aug 30, 2012, 8:33 AM

Culb44, I am not at all emotional about it. I would just like to know what Dabo's policy is about it aa it seems to be inconsistent from what I have seen. It may very well not be. That's why I would like to know if there is a policy or not. Frankly, I don't have any problems with commits taking further visits. Gret chance to get some free trips in.
