So baseball @ Truist Park . . .

May 28, 2022, 8:51 PM

reminded me a lot of baseball in Tigertown . . . swinging for fences, infield errors and mistakes on the base paths . . . and a big fat “L” . . .

Oh well . . . fun was had by all the Skeetas in attendance!!!

Military Appreciation Day is best served in Clemson . . . just saying . . .

Skeeta, what in world is going on with the Bravos?

May 28, 2022, 8:56 PM

They look a little similar YTD to last season, but a little more inept. Seems like last year everybody was just waiting on a run, combined with a ton of early injuries. This year it seems they just don't have the chemistry. Is it the pitching? Is it Freddie being gone?

The Braves will be fine . . .

Acunia Jr getting plunked by a 98.9mph sinker was ugly . . . (then getting pick off 1st while only 3 foot off the bag didn’t help any) . . . too bad pitchers don’t bat anymore as they would have policed it themselves!!!

It took them until early August last year to get above .500 . . . there is plenty of time

Yes . . . Freddie is missed . . . Olson is only hitting ~.245 while Freddie is being Freddie . . . last I checked he was hitting ~.310 . . . leadership is tough to replace and Freddie was the heart of the team

We’ll see if they can find a way to play more as a team

Starting pitching has been up and down...(you're asking what is wrong the braves what the h3ll is wrong with Morton?) Kyle Wright is finally pitching like the top 10 pick he is....

Hitting lineup imo, to me anyway, has no issues (tho Alcantara was mowing us down yesterday 14K's ???????) I think when it start really getting hot we'll takeoff...

And as for Freddie...

Let's be honest...

After the final out of last year's chip' he had his bags packed for So Cal... he wasn't even thinking about returning to ATL... Matt Olson will surprise bank on it....

Marlins pitcher is one of the nastiest in baseball, guy was throwing a 100mph after 105 pitches.

At some point, the Braves are going to have go ahead and have a bench clearing brawl with the Marlins. Can’t keep letting your franchise player keep getting hit and risk losing him for the season with a broken hand. Either that, or take out they best player.

I am excited about the new rookie who played for the Braves today though

EXCELLENT---I will be there tomorrow!

Looking forward to seeing Max Fried pitch...Braves remind me of the early days of Glavine, Smoltz & Co. where they had to pitch perfect and hope for 1 run to win by. Obviously, Kevin Seitzer, the "hitting" coach is teaching how to swing for the fences, because ATL is d@mn good at the K's. I've been a diehard Braves fan since they came to Atlanta, but they sure can be frustrating at times with the inability to manufacture runs with a couple of hits in a row.

At least you got perfect weather

May 29, 2022, 1:02 AM

And relatively low humidity. Can't beat todays weather. Braves have been frustrating this year. I still think they will make the post season though.

Great photos Skeeta! I went to a number of games last year where we sat behind home plate and all of the goodies (beer, food, and snacks) were free, and valet parking, (Delta Hospitality section). Unfortunately, my daughter-in-law, who got us the tickets has changed jobs and her new company does not buy tickets. Guess it is now back with the "common folks", where I belong anyway!
