The Braves have got to have the worst pitching staff MLB

Jun 16, 2015, 11:59 PM

They give up 8 or more runs every other night it seems like.
Oh how times have changed.

They are going to struggle until they open the new ballpark.

They won't struggle that long. They will make a few moves later this season to acquire some relief talent. I see them spending the big bucks in the off season so the team will have a year to gel together before the run in the new stadium in 2017. The starting rotation has been decent, but they really need to figure out what's going on with Teheran.

The rotation has been decent, but no idea what's going on with Teheran. It seems like he's just grooving everything in for hitters sometimes. You can't complain about Perez, and Wood and especially Miller have been very good. Folty is young, and could eventually be in the bullpen. There's also Wisler and Banuelos in Gwinnett.

The Braves currently don't have a starter over the age of 24 (or maybe it was 25).

The bullpen is a disaster, but that can be fixed in the offseason. I'm more worried about the lack of power hitting in the system. There's absolutely none in AA or AAA. Mallex Smith and Peraza look like future MLB players, but I guess the Braves plan on going to free agency for power hitting because there's not much there in the minors. Davidson is only in Low A right now.
