two (at least) candidates--the dude from the Texans and the dude from FL--didn't want the job so we had to go with a fall back guy. Don't think he will make worse decisions but this isn't a step up from what we have now.

Really hate we missed out on the tarheel at Fla (sarcasm) but Rad is light out better than the Rice guy (as anyone would be).

The best thing is getting rid of some of TDP's support staff

and replacing them with quality people that work better with the staff we currently have, Also if D-Rad shows up and is knowledgable about what is going on at Board of Trustees meetings he will be a step up form Terry Don, who sort of checked out on those after his back surgery a while back.

to run Clemson? I am tired of outsiders who don't have a true love of Clemson running our university. Surely there is at least one Clemson alum with a tad of athletic experience who would make a great AD. Can any of you think of someone?

The only one I wouldn't have minded seeing evaluated for the position is Dwight Clark. However, not familiar enough with his credentials to have a feeling if he would make a good AD. IMO, there's not anyone on the current AD staff who would be suitable.
