The best thing for DJ

Nov 27, 2022, 11:01 AM

I try not to criticize players. If they are giving 100% and are supporting their teammates it’s not their fault.

With that said, I think the best thing for DJ’s future would be for him to transfer to another school that is looking for a pro style quarterback and has a QB coach whose focus is to develop the passing skills of their QB. Trying to mold DJ into an option QB, unfortunately has not happened. Either the coaches need to change the style of our offense, or they need to recruit and develop option QB’s.

DJ has 2 years of eligibility left, for his sake, I would love to see him go somewhere that he can be successful. He deserved that.

Clemson deserves an option style QB if we are going to stick with our zone read, rpo style offense.

If im not mistaken, DJ graduated this year with a degree. I think he will definitely transfer. And I think that decision would be supported by most.

WHY would DJ leave Clemson???! He would be crazy to transfer. The coaches have made it very, very clear to everyone that the team is his.

If he stays and next year is a carbon copy of this one .... Clemson football is set back to the Red Parker days

If we have a decommittment from either of the two new kids or Cade Tiger football is in deep Do Do!

Because he is not being put in a position to be successful given his skill set. If he stays, I don’t see it changing.

DJ hits 3/10 of crossing routes.

His accuracy is, at times ~50% on passes of those moving directly away from him. He's been a QB for somewhere near a decade and been throwing the ball for almost twice that long and he has barely mastered one part of being a passing quarterback, he can hit a stationary target about 85% of the time.

Imo, he should transfer to the baseball team. He might become a good on the mound. The strike zone gets moved up and down but it never moves laterally.

DJ will transfer. He has no future at Clemson and knows it.

Perhaps with a fresh start, he can play better.
