The Best QB in last night's game: Not even close!

Oct 2, 2016, 10:15 PM

So, who was the best QB on display in the big game last night between Clemson and Louisville? Jackson was indeed spectacular last night, and through the season so far. An elite, super-talented athlete, and very deserving of the attention he has received. But, the best QB on the big stage was DW4... and it's not even close, given my bizarre reasoning (sure, not factual, but my simple opinion).

When you individually play 1/2 the time, run 1/2 the amount of plays, surrender over twice (2x) the number of turnovers, but score nearly twice the number of TD's, incredibly amass only 60 yards less... AND STILL WIN: Seems to me, that accounts for something. Maybe I am looking at this completely wrong, but for this game (the biggest ACC game of the year)... Watson has my vote as the best QB.

I hope things work out to where DW4 can win the Heisman this year...he represents the very best as a college student-athlete. But, stay focused DW and Company... we've got unfinished business come January. The Ultimate Prize awaits!

put Jackson on the Clemson team and not miss a beat. I could not say that about any other qb.

Don't agree. Lamar is not an equal passer to Watson and not as well rounded. Lamar is a better runner. A good defense and coach can scheme against the runner.

Jackson looked like an excellent passer to me

He's got a serious whip of an arm. He did lob up that floater to Jadar though.

I read somewhere that Watson's passing efficiency

rating for the game was 181, compared to 121 for Jackson.

Bottom line, Jackson touched the ball 99 (99!!) times and could only lead his team to 36 points. Deshaun touched the ball 62 times and led his team to 42 points and a win.

Jackson is a rare talent and I wouldn't want to play him again this year. But, he amassed most of his yards after our defense got gassed from being on the field for so long.

Watson showed why he is the best QB in the nation. Hell, he turned the ball over 4 times, yet still made plays when it mattered the most.

I simply look at it this way . . .

When Watson had the ball with a chance to win the game, he lead the offense down the field and scored a touchdown.

When Jackson had the ball with a chance to win the game, he came up short.
