is the occasion when you see someone you went to middle/high school with, who is not winning at life.
Maybe this makes me petty, but I Just ran into a chick who made fun of me in 6th grade for getting good grades/being smart (I admit, I struggled a bit in middle school... but who peaks then?)

I knew from 1st grade through HS that couldn’t believe I was going to give up my good job bagging groceries to go to Clemson died in prison
He did all he could to make that summer hell

probably more than a few the way my memory works lately, there was a guy posting on reddit or on some hollywood blog about the rampant child sexual abuse in Hollywood. Several people had triangulated the stories he was telling and had decided that it might have been Robert Downey, Jr. Anyway, he told a LOT of stories about rumors of Hayden Paniterri being passed around as a child and abused by a lot of studio heads and other folks and I think made it sound like her parents were a part of the problem.
Anyway, she seems to fit that profile now if she's staying with someone who abuses her as an adult.

It's OK to take joy in the suffering of people you hate. I am an epic grudge holder though, there are people who pissed me off over a decade ago that'd I'd still go out of my way to make unhappy if given the opportunity.

What it is odd about small towns that I have noticed when visiting friends in them. They know everyone and the other person's basic story, but they don't say hello to them at times. Where I grew up in Southern California, if we see someone in the store we even slightly knew we have and say hello or five a head nod. Then again, we don't know everyone in the store so it more interesting.
