our team in two years. Their upperclassmen and experience made the difference. Valerie will even get better. She is just learning how to pitch to hitters like Alabama has. Great season girls!

Very proud of these ladies. They have learned how to fight, stay focused, and win. Next year will be unbelievable although this year was too.

GOOD! She consistently throws a 70 mph ball. That is equivalent to a 100 mpg baseball.I understand Oka St (I think) as one just as good. I’ll probably watch more softball super regionals than I will baseball.

Won't be surprised one bit that it's Bama/Oklahoma for the championship.

Alabama, Oklahoma and UCLA

Are a tier above everyone else. Maybe Florida to.
That’s why I am very frustrated with the regional cause IMO we didn’t learn anything about our team other than we aren’t a national title contendor level which I think was obvious.
I would’ve loved to have seen how we faired against a team in the 10-20 range to really see how good this team was.

T_I_P, I think we learned more by going up against Bama. A little surprised that Duke didn't force an extra game and that ND lost twice. While I share your sentiments that it would have been nice to trade places with either one, I think 30th was about right. Not to say we wouldn't win a few games playing 10-20 placed teams, we wouldn't consistently won.
You've been around it at a much deeper level than I, but I have followed it a while. We get a ton of local info and coverage being in coot country.
We need a little more speed and athleticism in the field. The errors will hopefully clean up with more experience.
Hitting up and down the line-up has to improve. Going up against Bama I hope will help the ladies learn what it takes to hit pitching you'll see in the top seeds.

I think you are exactly right. Playing Alabama showed us how good we are going to have to be to be a national contender. It may have turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Our players certainly know what they are going to have to do to be contenders.

more teams before we got to a team of Alabama's caliber.
If we had hosted our own regional, as I believe we should have, we would have probably had to face one team close to our development level and up to two that were clearly not as good as us. I also believe we would have won and moved to the next round.
We would have run into a buzz saw somewhere - either the super regional or the world series but we would have played more games. I would have liked that.
