The ACC is done … Clemson needs to get out

It really boils down to ABC/ESPN vs FOX.

Jul 8, 2022, 10:42 AM

So if ESPN isn't putting a blessing on the alliance(Believing this gives them an upper hand over FOX) then the Alliance won't happen.

Plus the probability of another team moving before any alliance can be fully planned, vetted and bonded is extremely high.

grasping at straws. Not to mention the fact that 4 PAC members are actively pursuing membership in the BIG XII. It's becoming clear that there are really only two options left for Clemson---the ACC is not one of them.

Screw Calford.

He’s been more worried about where they are moving the ACC the office

THis "alliance" is dumber than the first "alliance". The ACC leadership group is a bunch of basketball sucking clowns. Shame on us for agreeing to this GOR garbage delivered to us by UNCheat's protector. But, let's just take our lumps now and get out of the ACC.

I think Clemson needs to leave the ACC. The future of the strength and relevance of the ACC will be quickly diminishing.

I hope somehow we can get out of the ACC. Would definitely enjoy playing Florida or GA every year as opposed to Wake Forest or BC. Swoffie screwed this conference good with the GOR deal

I have been saying all along that there is no benefit of a loose agreement. There would need to be a merger to get financial gain. Also would need to pull some of the BIG12 teams.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If a merger cancels the GoR, Clemson should be pushing for it

Jul 8, 2022, 11:12 AM

Then we can bolt at the last moment.

I think that should be Clemsons plan . Getting a bunch of second rate products and smashing them together isn’t going to move the needle . If you goal is to keep the acc I would bribe notre dame .

I honestly think ND accepted the move to the B1G but are keeping it quiet in hopes that the ACC falls apart and they won't have to pay anything to leave.

Thank God.....

Enough with the silliness....

I have been worried about Clemson and our sports since hearing any of the news of what's happening with college sports and the greed hitting all around us, and my biggest thing is this, if by some chance the SEC invites Clemson to the SEC, I hope that our administration will have a quick answer saying, our bags are packed, and we're ready to compete in the SEC!!!

I think the new Big 12 is going to wind up being better off than the ACC. They are going to be more of a coast to coast conference. I'm sure Big 12 fans can't wait to dance on the PAC and ACC's graves after they were left out of the original alliance. Sweet revenge for them!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They wont dance long because their league will still suck***

Don’t see how adding those 4 makes B12 any better

Jul 8, 2022, 12:59 PM [ in reply to Re: TNET: ESPN report casts doubt on potential new ACC/Pac-12 alliance ]

still 4th in my eyes

I think the worst part of the proposal is playing the extra "championship" game. So basically, one of the football committed schools (ie, likely Clemson most often) would have to play an extra meaningless game out west so that the revenue from the game could then be sent back to the ACC to split 14 ways. Clemson already carries the bottom feeders enough as it is.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Let’s go to the SEC and end this drama.***
