How many people will be going to Kansas, Texas, and Oklahoma games? Probably the same amount that would go to the Syracuse, Pitt , Miami or Boston College games.

Why would Louisville and Cincinnati be out of consideration? I mean, I realize this guy is just some random internet blogger, but where else are either of those teams going to go? I wouldn't think they would want to stay in the rotting carcass that is the Big East.

He doesn't even claim to have inside sources who spoke to him on the condition of anonymity. I take this as nothing but this "dude's" guess. If he's completely wrong, he'll do a Diptoola and gloss right over it. If he's right, not only will he be as surprised as the rest of us, he'll crow and crow like he "knew" it all along. I call BS.
Now could his guess be right? Sure. But it's just a guess which is being put forth as though it's documented.

Back in Jan he wrote that Clemson and FSU were flirting with the Big 12. That was the first I had heard of it. It was the first anyone had heard of it. It was so crazy no one thought there was any chance it could ever be true.
Now maybe he has no source at all. Maybe it was just an incredible guess. Maybe this is just an unbelievable SFP.
But he has been talking about the possibility of FSU/Clemson/Big12 longer than anyone.

all he's really done is wonder out loud "what is the next likely happening in all the expansion dealings?" Given the void in the Big XII, it's likely they'll expand. After that, it's speculation. I base that assumption on the fact that he would want to lend credibility to his blog if he could. So, if he had talked to someone who might actually know what's going on, he would have said, "According to a high-ranking official who asked not to be identified." Or something along those lines.

I've just been following this guy ever since last year when the conference wheels really started turning. Personally, I wanted the ACC to add WVU.
He has been right on a lot. He has been wrong on some things too. But I can tell you I believe the guy has a source. He throws stuff out there before just about anyone. Too much to just be guessing.

Dave, thanks I did leave out the dis in disadvantage. I've talked to three different people, all good sources, who have said the deal is complete. We should know by now that you can't talk and not leave, you burn too many bridges. Once it gets out that talks have occurred its just a matter of time before it happens. Time, in this case, means two months max.

where he says he's spoken to one, let alone three, source(s). I'd love for every word to be true and backed up by inside information. Just doesn't strike me as documented. If it happens like he says, I'll be happy. Even happier if two more eastern teams--including ND?--join, too, so there's a true eastern division.
