If Clemson were to make staff changes

Nov 30, 2022, 2:39 PM

So we know Dabo stepped up in defense of the coaching staff the other night on his call-in show. Which begs to question – if he’s not planning on removing any coaches, would the smart move be to add to the staff to help freshen things up? The NCAA approved allowance for more than 10 coaches that’s expected to begin in 2023, plus still have analyst positions where can bring in folks to maybe provide a spark behind the scenes.

You have former HCs like David Shaw and Scott Frost who have had HC and coordinator success that might could be of benefit either as additional coordinators or as analysts that could help behind the scenes. Willy Korn is doing well as Jamey Chadwell’s OC at Coastal, & his playing career struggles might make him a great mentor for someone like DJ who’s struggled under the weight of expectations. Would love to see a sole ST coach to focus on cleaning up our struggles in that department, as well as a LB coach to come in and allow Goodwin to focus on being DC and utilize his strengths as an analytical guy.

What are your guys’ thoughts on the idea of adding to the staff to bring in some changes that way?

the 1 thing i can post with high certainty

is that whatever coaching moves dabo plans on making wont be announced before the season ends.

probably wouldn't be announced until the contract is about to be signed

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”

Two things here.. 1) No more past players on our coaching staff - at least for a while / until we balance that a bit more evenly. 2) You're suggesting DJ is gifting us with another year of outstanding QB play for '23?

Shaw would be a great addition.***

it seems like there are 100 staff on the sideline already

seems like one of them could have said "hey, lets run the ball to the outside".

98 of them probably did. It’s been well documented this week that Dabo and Streeter are the only 2 people in the world with their head in there sand so far they cannot see what is going on here.

Maybe add a Co- OC if he thinks the right guy is available.

I'm available for free.

DJ would be benched.
Cade would throw to open receivers and TEs and RB.
We would run da ball if passing game stalls.
We would fumble no more than once or twice again.
Losing at home to SCAR would not be tolerated. That would be made clear to all players and coaches before the game. There would be punishment and rewards depending on the outcome.

GO TIGERS!

Dabo should be fined a million dollars for loosing that game. By the way,
he makes around a million a game.
