While we are arguing over something half a planet away, Brad Brownell is still our coach, with Tim Bouret trying to fluff him over being the first Clemson coach to get 100 ACC wins. We need to stay resolute and united.

Because most ACC coaches get to 100 wins in just their first season.

to Asheville (well, Mills River).
She got a new job up here and I went along for the ride. Everything is going great though, I get to look out at the mountains every day now.
Man, that makes me want to get back down to Puerto Rico again. That must've been like 2016-17 I think.
Work is quiet at the moment, so I figured I'd hop back into this bastion of sobriety and reasonable takes

Can we get a moritorium on school "dress up" days?
Feb 25, 2022, 9:13 AM

We have an entire farking week of school dress up days for kindergarten AND elementary school. Wife had to make a freaking chart to keep up. GO TO SCHOOL IN SCHOOL CLOTHES. IT'S LIKE A JOB, WHERE YOU DRESS TO THE SAME "LEVEL" EVERY DAY.
I don't remember pajama day, or dress like your favorite superhero day, or pink day, or red day, or dress like a book character day, or dress like....JFC it's annoying. I think we could wear Halloween costumes on Halloween, and that was about it.

there hasn't been a single week this school year without at least one dress up day.
I'm so ####### sick of it.
I told our APs that all I want for Christmas is one week that didn't have a theme.
So far I haven't gotten that.

a collared shirt was expected and a t-shirt with graphics would get you sent home
Pajama day? Mr Gettis would have had a stroke and put you right back in your mama’s car in front of the whole car line

for high school, spirit weeks, etc.
One fateful Thursday morning apparently it was "Dress for Success" day. Me being the stoned teenage slacker that I was, overslept and woke up 10 minutes before the first bell. I sprinted down the stairs in my pajama pants and graphic T and sped off to school.
Get to my first block English class and the old bat was having none of it. Said she'd never seen such disrespect. Sent me to the APs office to get my detention slip.
The AP laughed it off and sent me back on my way sans discipline.
Hadn't thought about this memory in years until the other morning when it occurred to me that I now work my full-time job in pajama pants and a graphic T. Eat a D, Mrs. W.

I finally got the hang of them (would buy a size or two up and get a couple of years out of it) and they changed up the days. Did away with Jersey day and college tshirt days, which were the only ones I could ever get behind.
