Me too. Not that Dabo and crew haven’t proven they can recruit at extremely high levels, but going in to Alabama and getting the best player in the state with the current state of the acc is a tough task if we aren’t pitching a conference change. In my opinion.

We have missed out on elite recruits bc we wasn't an SEC school, and most of those we have missed on, they were 5 star guys that went to Bama or Georgia!!!

You’re probably one of those that thought recruiting was screwed last season when Clemson lost a game. Clemson still has one of the top coaches in the country in Dabo, some of the very best facilities, one of the best campuses, very hot girls and beatown and area. You want to drive almost an hour to Birmingham, or 1/2 hour to Greenville? Greenville is absolutely 1 million times better than Birmingham. Saban is also older than the #### hills.
Clemson now has the 3rd ranked class in the country according to 247. I told you folks recruiting was not screwed last season and you downvoted me, but the Texas boy was right again because even though I’m a Texas fan first, I’ve met Dabo and shook his hands and I’ve looked into his eyes. You guys are morons if you don’t trust that man. All this smoke and mirrors crap is just that, a bunch of crap.

and it was not being considered, that much would have been announced by now. Neff or Dabo would have said so. I agree with the OP that the lack of a denial is telling. Of course, if there were talks underway, there would be no mention of it, no discussion whatsoever.

explain.
1. I never said he should be talking. I just compared the silence with the lack of silence in the past.
2. The athletic department has told The State that it would not be issuing any comments, or statements on the current conference realignment situation that is the buzz throughout the nation.
3. In the past, the athletic department and Dabo have been quick to dismiss any talk about possibly leaving the ACC, with lines like,
"we are perfectly happy in the ACC and are not looking to leave"
"We are not interested in moving to the SEC"
"We have had no contact with anyone in the SEC"
"There is no way we would go to the Big 12 conference"
"Moving out of our region and recruiting base to go to the Big12 would not be in the best interest of our program."
4. Dabo has issued such comments in the past regardless of the date, be it July, August, the season, the offseason etc. So yes, he could have something to say on July 8 as I am sure he has been contacted by many, many reporters. He and the administration, unlike in the past, have chosen to remain silent.

Clemson doesn't have to put a gag order on Dabo, he's smart enough to know when to talk and when not to.
I read where a BOT meeting is going on at Clemson today, wasn't on the schedule to meet until later in the month.
Lets hope something is up.

If discussions to leave the ACC are going on and I’m sure they are, it’s likely limited to the BOT, the President and the AD. I doubt they bring Dabo in on these meetings.
