I agree it's silly to have to have a law protecting what should already be a basic human right. Plus, why should we spend any time or effort protecting those in the minority...stupid waste of time. If they can't be and act like everyone else, then screw em. I'm pretty sure our entire system of government is set up to help impose majority rule and oppression of the minority, amerite?

I'll just address this question:
Why do they pay so much attention a group that represents 0.05% of the population?
Possibly because protecting minority groups from the tyranny of the majority is a big part of what America is about.

The text of the bill requires more than simply calling a biological man a man.
However, I wasn't defending the bill. I was just addressing the question:

There was reason that I only addressed the question:

It's because I have barely looked into the bill and don't have a strong opinion about it.
But I do have a strong opinion about people who think that our legislatures shouldn't pay much attention to a group simply because it only contains a few people.
