TNET: DJ Uiagalelei watched Trevor Lawrence and learned valuable lessons in 2020

DJ Uiagalelei watched Trevor Lawrence and learned valuable lessons in 2020

DJ Uiagalelei walked onto the practice fields at Clemson last spring and he watched the tall, lanky quarterback destined to be the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft. Uiagalelei watched how Trevor Lawrence acted on and off the field, how he composed himself in the classroom and in the team meeting rooms, and how he interacted with the community at large. And he learned. Full Story »

My two sense.

1. He is going to give Beau a bunch of looks which could rocket him up the depth charts. Chemistry between a QB and WR is paramount in high pressure situations.

2. I hope Tahj Boyd teaches DJ about the dangers of Chik Filet. That chicken is so dang good but even Tahj said he succumbed to the deliciousness and he paid the price on the field. Staying healthy and eating right and maintaining his body will be a challenge. He comes from a big family and you can’t out work DNA

1. That's pretty big, but he can build chemistry with the other WRs pretty quickly and he looked really good for a true freshman against the Irish.

2. Zaxby's is way better, if you asked me. We don't have it out here and that's my one requirement every time we go east, to eat at Zaxby's. Chick Fillet is a dime a dozen out here and it's pretty good, too. I just like Zaxbys.

Glad Trevor was a good role model for him to follow. He is right, TL had a lot of pressure on him and he handled it well. DJ seems like a great young man who understands his role as a leader of the team. Glad he got the two starts, so it gives him a point of reference in preparing for our first game against UGA and the rest of the season.

It sure would be nice if the Tiger program would set up a quiet room for these player/coach interviews.

sad remembering the "Kelly Bryant" year. Kelly did the absolute best he could, not doubting that at all. But, the offense that year could easily be likened to a Ferrari with a slipping clutch, never able to reach anywhere near its real potential.
