Cagle's frustration with the non-strike calls in the last inning, just throwing up her arms in disbelief. I have to put this one on Coach Rittman. At the very least, he or his pitching coach should have gotten thrown out of the game over the vanishing strike zone. Val didn't have her best stuff all game, and he should have gone to the pen NO LATER than that first walked in run. I was actually hoping he would send McCubbin out to pitch the 7th. Butt, hindsight is always 20/20. I don't know why that is, since hineys generally don't have eyes, but it is.

Agree. I'd say after the 2nd hit, they clearly had all the mo and had Cagles number. And totally agree with getting thrown out but other posters were arguing with me that it's a toss up call. I totally disagree and I don't think it's 20/20. After the 2nd hit, I yelling at Rittman to change pitchers. It's not like we've got chop liver in the pen. Cubes been pitching good... otherwise, no coach in any sport would ever change a player out.

All those easy games we played, we should have been playing the Stewart's etc... a la Dabo. We still have holes and weaknesses in our roster.

I'd credit Liberty with that win

They played well behind strong pitching. They have a very good program, and some days just don't go your way.

Ump is screwing you, you fire what would be ball 4 into the batter's ribs for the walk. It changes the mojo.

I didn't see the game, but have noticed in the last several weeks that Valerie's pitches seem to be getting more and more hittable. Even in our wins the other teams seem to hitting the balls pretty solid, even on outs. That's not all bad that she pounds the strike zone and lets the defense work for her. But at some point those hard hit outs start becoming hits ..... think of Cooper Ingle early this season. I don't know if the long season, especially pitching and playing in the field, has started to wear on her a bit, or better competition, or what, but she does not seem quite as effective. That said, I wouldn't swap her for any player in the country ..... tired or not!
