So apparently what you said was the problem. Didn't use the ice machine for a few days and it froze up.

Ice machine is now working.

How often do yall take the ice out and how much so it doesn't freeze again? Like every other day you get a cup full of ice?

ice ain't supposed to do like that. You got extree water getting in there somehow.

Unplug, remove contents, and turn the entire unit upside down. That's really the only way to troubleshoot this.

Prob is, door opens and the ice machine chute in the door

or the machine itself is exposed to warmer air. I am convinced the unit with the ice machine in the door is better insulated that the one that has the chute in the door and the machine in the top of the fridge - we have more problems with that one.

We remove ice about once a week if we are not using it
