that moment when you realize mommy & daddy can't get you

Apr 9, 2021, 8:04 PM

out of this one. Here is Biff when getting a 24 year sentence, racing the streets of Tampa at over 100 MPH in his Mustang and killing a young mother and child. Sorry, not Biff, his name is actually Cameron, which is even better...

Cameron... or Cam as they all know him. Jaxon with an "X"? Logan, Lucas, Mason, Ethan?

Biff is so 70s, I date myself.

Still, while it’s easy to hate him cause he’s responsible for the death of a mom and baby.

Apr 9, 2021, 9:02 PM

Can you imagine the stupid decisions that we made as kids resulting in the loss of life? I would’ve been just as shocked. Heck, the guilt that I feel from crimes I didn’t even commit has doomed me to a terrible fate of drunkenness. I hope my kids aren’t stupid enough to make stupid decisions. But yeah... a life for a life. Glad I was lucky. Hope my kids know better than to be stupid as a young person. We’re not rich. So we should be safe. Hate on!

Without a paternity test.

of course, all joking aside, I've said many times to my friends

Apr 9, 2021, 9:27 PM [ in reply to Hey I'm just lucky I made it through college without ]

that we are all lucky to not be sitting in prison. Forget the craziness of our youth, how many times as adults have we all drove home "over the limit?" A kid on a bike darts in front of your car and you kill him. You're going away for a long, long time. Doesn't matter that the same result would happen if you're stone cold sober.

What if they set up a checkpoint on I-85 or Hwy 123 after a Clemson football game? There would be a gazillion DUI's. We all know it, but would rather not think about it.

have happened to any of us. Also, the headline and the article don't match: according to the article he was doing 30 to 40 when he hit them. None of that excuses anything, and if the racing is what led to it, speed at time of accident doesn't matter. Just saying I'm just lucky it wasn't me.

But yeah, he's got that Duke Lacrosse thing we love to hate. And that might not be his fault either.

My bud killed a guy on a bicycle

Apr 10, 2021, 9:47 AM

it was up in Cruso right before you hit the parkway at Sunburst. It was dark and the guy was in the grass and then came onto the road. My bud never saw him until he was right on him.

I can tell you something, he has never ever been the same. He has bad depression and goes dark for really long periods of time.

This isn’t the same situation as above but tragedy can happen in an instant......to any one of us.

someone had walked out or I met another car, no telling what would have happened. Was a '70 Chevelle Super Sport, don't know how much over 100, but some, was drifting a bit, probably air under the front end. At the moment was just a thing because I could, but a few nights later I lay in bed thinking about loose steering from the car drifting ... scared me to death.

Have also done in later model cars on I-77.

In any case. 27 years seems extreme for that. There, I said it.
