FCS style FBS playoff

Nov 11, 2014, 9:06 PM

if we had that system in FBS it would look like...

LSU at Nebraska. Winner at Miss State

Texas A&M at Auburn (would probably flip this with #23 team to avoid rematch). Winner at Ohio State

Wisconsin at Kansas State. Winner at TCU

Duke at Michigan State. Winner at Alabama

Clemson at Arizona. Winner at FSU

Georgia Tech at UCLA. Winner at Arizona State

Notre Dame at Georgia. Winner at Oregon

Utah at Ole Miss. Winner at Baylor

I see a bunch of 2 and 3 loss teams vying for a championship***

this particular set up would suck

Nov 11, 2014, 9:10 PM

because there's a lot of potential rematches in there. They would shuffle them up to avoid such rematches

And this year we have one teams and possibly 2 loss

with only 4 teams, so what is your point Prod?

Why is one loss ok but 2 and 3 not?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well, 1 loss is less losses than 2 or 3 losses.***

Correct, and two is only one more

You seemed to question why the larger number of team playoffs had 2+ loss teams and like that wouldn't be great and that if a 2 loss team won the playoff that would be bad.

Either we only let teams without a loss or who cares.

The matchups posted would be some of the greatest college football games ever. I don't know why people want to fight that.

Maybe because the bias shown for certain conferences would be out in the open.

Heck if the SEC gets its teams in, then beat the crappy little 2+ loss teams and show us how good you are.

That looks like the greatest thing I've ever seen.***

Why would this setup suck? I'm not sure why head to head matches are being discounted right now. Oh wait ... I do get it ... SEC
