I imagine that it came as a very pleasant surpirse that there was someone on the Tiger football team who could communicate with him. So happy Tucker could make the day special for this young man.

I love what he said, "The only disability in life is a bad attitude." What an insightful comment from this young man. It just reinforces my understanding of the type of athletes we recruit at Clemson.

That is a Daboism, he says that a lot

Dec 30, 2016, 11:15 AM

and he is shaping the character of the young men he coaches for 4 years. Dabo is a better life coach than he is a football coach, and that is saying a lot.

But we still don't know

what he dreams about when he's asleep.

That's a great story, but the thing that

Dec 30, 2016, 8:27 AM

Strikes me most is the number of Dabo quotes Tucker used. "Everything happens for a reason", "The only disability is a bad attitude", etc.

It's not coachspeak. Coach Swinney is building high character men who also happen to be very good football players.

Dec 30, 2016, 9:38 AM

When in effect he's way more talented than all the others in more important ways in Life!

How awesome would it be if

the whole football team knew sign language....you could use it in the huddle when we are the visiting team at loud stadiums & use it to call audibles at loud stadiums. Tucker - great story & what a wonderful young man!

Great human interest story.
Here's hoping Tucker has an excellent Spring practice and is given a fair/equal chance at the qb job opening.

Great job by Tucker! He is now one of my favorite Tigers! Even if Obama isn't a fan of Israel, I am!
