So ACC has a chance to show off in Prime Time at M-Benz Stadium

Aug 19, 2022, 8:41 AM

and does it in grand style by closing off M-Benz Stadium's upper deck (26,000) due to Covid restrictions.

Wait, that's wrong, it's because the home team (GT) doesn't think its fans will attend in the numbers needed to keep it a home game advantage so they conspire with Peach Bowl Execs & ACC Officials to close off 26,000 upper decks seats @ ?? each.

Hey, that selfish tactic worked last year since GT upset UNC so why not again against a much more ravid fan base & superior ranked team in Clemson.

And you want to know why the ACC is a Billion $ poorer in TV revenue & smarter deals than the SEC!

Saying, the GT people should have pushed first for their Athletic Dept to go out and sell their fan base on packing that Stadium since their own stadium holds 55,000 while the reduced M-Benz venue is now limited to 45,000..a loss of 11,000 seats for their and Clemson fans.

Bad decision for growing interest & revenue in the ACC.

I Guess The SEC Game There Doesn't Have COVID as Bad

as ACC fans

That decision has absolutely NOTHING to do with Covid***

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

I could understand the tactic if it was considered a neutral

site game, but it's a GT home game. Do they not get a cut of the fees regardless of who buys tickets? As posted earlier, total ACC type move. ACC should have stepped in and said sorry GT, suck it up buttercup. Primetime Monday night, Labor Day weekend, in front of a half empty stadium? Instead of "Mayhem at Mercedez-Benz" they should call it "FishBait Fiasco"

LBB - I think you’ve coined a new TNet word - ravid.

Is that part avid and part raving? Or part avid and part rabid? Either way I think I like it and want to make sure I use it appropriately in the future.

Ravid

As this illustrates. They should be remembered and thrown back in their faces for years

GT can mess around with crowd attendance all they want and

Aug 19, 2022, 9:21 AM

it will make no difference if Clemson plays to our standard. The ACC is stupid for going along with this reduced audience and just shows the type of brain trust we have running the show in the conference.

PS... Geoff Collins is a meathead and I truly think Dabo loves beating GT more than his normal "the fun is in the winning"...

Collins would probably love to have a weightlifting contest instead or a dance contest featuring the Irish Jig (Did anyone see their spring game with the Irish dancers?) ROTFL

Don't miss Lightbulb Bills point, the ACC had a night to shine with the only game in town on Monday night, the M/B stadium in downtown Atlanta, and showing ESPN and other Networks see that the ACC can bring a full house. Great point Lightbulb.

Never fear, some GT Whiz Kids will CG some full upper decks
