That Bresee kid is a beast!!

Dec 6, 2019, 11:09 AM

Good God. He's a man among boys.

Although I will miss Tee, ETN, and Simmons the new class coming in, under our coaches guidance should have Clemson in the top 3 for the next 3-4 years.

Sit back and enjoy the ride....

Hopefully he and Capehart are going to be ready day 1, like Tyler Davis.

Reloading the DL is going to be a big deal for next season.

It's not a matter of who we lose...but loading back up on the kind of talent we have had the last several years.

Outside of Davis, I really don't think we have standouts at DL. Pinckney is good...just not at the level we have had.

I can go with that.***

He is a grown man playing with kids, but to be honest I haven't been as impressed with his film this year, but what he did at the elite camps show the talent we are getting and his coaches seem to rave about his work ethic and character. If we can get Flowe, who I think steps into a similar role as Simmons (and yes, that will take time), this defensive class (and probably the class as a whole) should go down as our best ever.

I'm not sure they would take the chance of removing Flowe from the middle. He's built for that position. I don't think we will see another SLB/NB like Simmons for a little while. But I would keep an eye on Charleston and Thorton to help fill that role in the future. I like Mike Jones Jr., but I just got a feeling about those two.

I hear ya. Flowe projects well in the middle, but he is a special and unique (freakish) athlete and we have recruited really well at LB apart from his potential commitment. Simmons-like athletes are few and far between, but I think BV has really enjoyed playing chess with such a talent and Flowe is certainly a talent that brings versatility like few others.

I think Bresee may be showing some of what I saw in high school from Albert Huggins.

Bresee is a much better player in high school but I think what each was asked to do negatively affected how they looked on film.

Huggins was THE guy on the offensive and defensive lines for his high school.

He was doubled teamed the entire night on defense and they used him as the key blocker the whole night on offense.

It made Huggins look like an average player by early in the second half because he would physically exhaust himself going all out early in games trying to win games by himself.

I think Bresee has a better group around him and is not necessarily the sole focus to carry his team, but he is playing both sides of the ball constantly and doesn't see a defensive snap when there aren't two guys assigned to him.

For big guys like that, staying fresh gives them a chance to stay explosive.

I hope playing on one side of the ball allows Bresee to really flourish at Clemson.
