My under the radar guy in this class is..............

Jalen Williams. A few years ago, I thought that Grady Jarrett was going to be that guy in his class. Despite the stars, I watched his tapes and read and listened to what people said about him in the camps. His pedigree didn't hurt either. Jalen is the same way. Not really heralded as far as stars and notoriety is concerned, but everyone from Venables across the board raved about this kid, his motor, his heart and his aggressive ability to knock you silly! They say he completely outperformed five stars at camp like Raekwon McMillan. The reporters were thoroughly impressed. Venables said that he was his kind of player. Anyway, we have AMAZING talent coming in and I expect all of these recruits to do a great job, but I'm going to watch Jalen, like I did Grady, because of how they actually performed in front of our staff when the spotlight was on.

I agree. Just like Grady, he is considered "undersized" and that chip on his shoulder will help motivate him even more to prove the pundits wrong...just like Grady did.

there was some chat about jalen the other day, a quick

thought or two from bv about "getting a steal with signing jalen"... it also mentioned jalen appeared to have already gained a couple inches & a good amount of weight since first committing and could be looking at a "jack" end type role now.

don't have time to look for it now, perhaps later. maybe someone else recalls the convo/report?

ok, found it; one of dhood's reports. that dhood's pretty good. ;)

Has anyone that goes to Clemson seen him around. What height would you say he is?

I feel the same way about Jalen. I think he is hungry and he is obviously talented. I remember how impressed I was the first time I saw his film. At absolute worst he gives us a terror on special teams. At best I believe he could be a very solid starter on the outside for us down the road. He has a high ceiling. I was really surprised he wasn't more highly sought after.
