Dabo has some program altering decisions in front of him

A&P Grocery decided not to change and died out.

Dabo is at a crossroads and must make some hard decisions about change or we could be facing the same…

1) Changing offensive scheme and staff, especially coordinator and OL coaches

2) Change of philosophy about the portal - like it or not, teams like Ole Miss, Arkansas, LSU and Wisconsin will continue to recruit 4&5 star players who aren’t playing away from top shelf teams like us

3) Figure out how to maintain unity in a talent laden locker room where there is NIL inequity

This is a moment (across the NCAA board) where competent and capable leadership must make program shifting decisions about adaptation and change. Those who don’t will be relegated to irrelevancy. I don’t think we’ll know until December/January if Dabo can (or is willing, based on past statements) to do it. I personally hope he does, but I hate the feeling I have about it all right now.

No doubt he will get things fixed going…What’s frustrating and baffling to me in his stern position on the old school mantra of college football. The portal…seniority…etc….All of this swung for me when he had Rencher on the 2 deep in front of Bowman…and he dipped out. It was only because Rencher is an activist and was big on that BLM crap.

Not utilizing the portal to better your team but keep about 60 kids on scholarship who have ZERO impact on famedays is comical and irresponsible…I guess we will just continue to be kidney donors for the portal.

The dude who on consecutive plays broke up a Touchdown pass and had a sack to end a drive. That guy is our worst safety easily? I guess you go to a lot of the closed practices since your comment includes all the players who play safety. Most of whom have had limited meaningful snaps. Mukuba and Mickens have looked good but they are already playing a lot of snaps. Tyler Venables would have to improve a lot to get to Turners level of play. You must pick up something in practice regarding Charleston, Phillips and Thornton that Coach V does not see.

To me Nolan Turner will always be remembered for is game sealing interception in the endzone at the 2019 Fiesta Bowl.If Nolan did not get that interception then their is no telling what Justin Fields would have pulled off have new life.
