Tennessee just got a commitment from a DT from California.

Just a few months ago they told Sterling Johnson that they were only taking one DT in the 2015 class according to a 247 article ( http://clemson.247sports.com/Article/Sterling-Johnson-Commits-To-Clemson--28631500 ).

That helps tremendously with Tim Settle who I considered Tennessee to be the only real competition against us. Also that most likely sends Shy Tuttle to UNC.

Yes - I agree that UT would take Settle if he commits to them. But seriously? Would the DT from CA actually commit to UT if he wasn't pretty darn sure that HE would be the one getting PT? He has to know that Settle would be the starter over him (or at least think it since Settle is 5-star). I'm not buying into that. The DT from CA has to have been told something positive to decide to go to UT. Otherwise, the DT has to have a seriously large ego.

I'm not saying your wrong about this working out for a Settle commitment, but all recruiting is about is telling kids "something positive", i.e., what they want to hear.
