And, yes, I know we won Natties in soccer, but even that does not make me a big fan of handsless footsball.
I know it will appall those fans to hear it again, but I still maintain that any sporting game where you purposely outlaw the use of the most useful appendages God gave you is just plain wrong.
Butt, just as I don't watch it or care about it, I also do not hold it against anyone who does watch it and care about it. So, we can all have the Happies!

I don't get it either. Players run 500 miles and nothing ever happens. 2 - 0 is a blowout. Guy on Team A bumps in to guy on Team B. Team B guy gets carried off the field like he's on life support. Two minutes later, he's back.

cards every now and then, yeller or red, for no particular reason. Seems to make some players mad when they do it, though.

Egypt has only qualified for 3 WCs in their entire history

1934, 1990, and 2018. Egypt missing the WC is only somewhat surprising because they currently have Mo Salah on the squad.
Nigeria is much more surprising as they've qualified for 6 of the last 7 WCs.

What really turned my head around was Italy crashing out a couple days ago...to North Macedonia.
I cannot even imagine what the Italians are feeling. Two straight Cups they're sitting out...and they're one of the best teams in the world, won the Euros less than two years ago.
Well...wait, I actually can relate. I know exactly how I felt after that disaster at Couva and we had to miss 2018.
