Don't post much

Jul 24, 2015, 7:04 PM

I don't post on here very much, but read the boards every day. I have been a member for a while. I just want to say what a GREAT time to be a Tiger I am a 2007 grad....I love Clemon sports especially football with all my heart!!! I love what Dabo is doing with the football program. I had season tickets up until this year. I had to give up because the wife has a cancer, so I will be watching from the sofa for the first time in a long time. So all you tiger fans scream really loud for me this year!

I hated to give mine up too but it was not due to a situation as serious as yours. Prayers sent for both of you

I don't post much either. But this is to send prayers for your wife and you. I don't get to the games anymore. I'm a 100% disabled Vietnam Vet, Class of 1963. But I'm always glued to the TV.

Just adding my prayers for you and especially your wife. I have never had season tickets, but had to give up IPTAY membership several years ago due to heart related health costs. If I am blessed I get to DV once a season so game day is even more special. Enjoy the time spent with your bride. The Lord never gives us more than can handle, just one day at a time. Keep us posted.

Go Tigers!

Don't couch it. Get that TV going outside, start a fire and while away the hours adding wood. Down a few Coronas as you build a deep bed of coals (no charcoal). When the game is over switch it to replay, put some chicken on the grill ... THEN sit down and enjoy the replay... and the chicken ... and some more Coronas. If you have a really decent place and really appreciative neighbors you will not be alone ... and chicken is always good.

Praying for you and your wife.

Jul 25, 2015, 7:23 PM

It's hard sometimes when we feel like Job. In the last five years my daughter had a heart condition and has had two heart surgeries and she was tested and she has Lupus and my oldest daughter has Lupus too. I can't travel and my back has been diagnosed as lifetime deal. I can't go to games either. My wife got kicked by one of our horses and has done life long damage to her spline and pancreas. We were always healthy and up until I hurt my back I played basketball Y ball a couple of hours a day. I also played tennis in all seasons beside winter. I said all that to say we have to depend on God when times are tough but he never wastes a hurt if we allow God to use us. I'm not sure why some people have it worse than others. We just have to trust that God will meet our needs and give us comfort, patience, peace and strength. I pray that your wife will be healed and that you will have everything God has to give you, comfort moment to moment and faith to move mountains. In His name, Amen.
