I know NCST intentionally broke James Davis's arm one year. Stephen Tulloch if I recall.

Yes it was NC State.

I believe the running back was Reggie Merriweather. It was not caught during the game, but I think NC State was officially reprimanded due to post game review.

I can't remember if any real action was taken against the player.
